Pairing premium rum with caviar

In collaboration with Eight PM, Sturgeon Valley presented Rum & Caviar, an intimate evening exploring the depth and character of premium Jamaican rum, complemented by our in-house matured caviar.

Ash Parmar of Eight PM led the guided rum tasting, featuring Hampden Estate rum, crafted in Jamaica since 1753. Each pour was curated for flavour, texture and balance, with sommelier Drew Cohen presenting a signature cocktail to show rum in a new light.

Sturgeon Valley founders Nicholas Long and Xinyue Wan served five caviar snacks designed to elevate and contrast each rum.

Community support: Sturgeon Valley and Eight PM donated all proceeds from this event to relief efforts in Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa in 2025.

This was a one-night-only event, created for an intimate room and a focused tasting experience.
